Treasure in Shalou

By Tom Bleasdale, year 3, Hautes Capelles School

Once in a far, far land...the city was nice and calm. Joe and Lizzy were wandering around.

They had found a small temple in the land of Shalou! In the temple there were two other children called Bob and Frankie. They had found a chest!

Within the chest was a big discovery… inside the chest was an enchanted book! The book had a map inside!

“Oh no this could lead us to… TREASURE!“

”What?”

”Treasure!”

”Well read it, then.”

“Ok.”

The book said: “Follow this map for treasure." Two weeks later Joe had built a boat to sail. One hour later they all found a different boat and six children were on board. Tom, Scarlet, Charlie, Elizabeth, Spider and Isabelle.

They had a slide on a window and the other boat had a hot-glue gun. Bob broke a window and glued the slide to it. Eventually they all became friends and chatterboxes.

When they docked on the island of Jet there was a fresh water fountain!

”Water!”

”Look at the map.”

They followed the map until they reached a hidden temple that had another clue! It said that they had to walk four more miles from here.

30 minutes later they had done one mile.

“I’m tired.”

“Me too!”

”I’m not.”

”I want to go home.”

”Do you want treasure?”

”Yeah.“

Ten minutes later they had no drinks except for Joe. He’d brought ten bottles of water. Sometime later they came across a long river with sharks in it! One of them was very vicious it nearly bit their nose off.

”Run!”

”No Bob, we have a boat!”

“Oh yeah…I brought a shotgun with me.”

They got past the sharks! Three hours later they had found the treasure.

“Gold!”

“Great! Let’s go home!”
