the blade of wonder

By zack topley lanyon, year 6, Amherst School

"It's day 473 here and I am so bored here in the Sunken lands. Father do you have a job for me?"

“Go to the armour shop,” dad said. He told me that when I got there, to ask for directions to blades of steel.

"Can I have your strongest armour?! I said kindly.

"Certainly," he replied.

" And can you direct me to blades of steel?"

"Yes, I can, my kind sir," he replied.

When I got there he gave me his strongest sword.

I headed to Riskey River in search for the demon blade. I found a little raft that I could cross on. When I got to the other side my mouth fell open in amazement. It was the Lava Mountains where the demon blade was kept. I climbed the huge towering mountain until I reached the lava cave. All I had to do was bring it to the portal to earth. So I headed to the portal. On the way there was no boat to cross the Riskey Rriver so I swam, but it pulled me down towards the lake so when I got to the other side of the treacherous river, I sprinted up towards the portal.

When I got there, the portal was a big multi-coloured swirl, but it still wouldn't let me in, so I put the sword demon blade through and it let me go through. All I could see were swirly lines everywhere.

When I got to the real world everything was so different I couldn't go back now.

Every night I would think about the other world. It was fun there, but it got boring after a while. The real world did too, but that was ok, because the real world was really fun and not at all like the other world.
